Women Celebrate With Primedia Face 2 Face

September 2008

They say a woman represents intuition, creativity, nurturing and love, characteristics that are essential to a healthy functioning society. Recently South Africa celebrated Woman's Day where Primedia Face 2 Face and Five Roses took the opportunity to honour our women and the vital role they play. The campaign made use of Primedia Face 2 Face's Community Events Marketing (CEM) service which allows the client to firmly entrench their brands into the hearts and minds of community members whilst giving at the same time.

Tea gardens were set up on the weekend of Women's Day and the Primedia Face 2 Face promoters gave a short talk on the benefits of Five Roses. The Primedia Face 2 Face team interacted with guests and handed out Five Roses tea samples (Original - leaf and bag, Lemon Leaf, Ginger Leaf, Chai Spice, Lemon Tea bags, Green and Jasmine bags, Rooibos and Honey) and promotional items. The event allowed the ladies to unite under a common understanding over a cup of tea, generously provided by Five Roses, while enjoying each other's company.

The first event took place on the 9th August in Evaton in the West Rand. Primedia Face 2 Face CEM team visited St Paul's Faith Mission Church to join in the celebrations. The congregation also honored Bishop Sinah Moloi on her 60th birthday. Sue Lewis from SANCA (South African National Council of Alcoholism and Drug Prevention) was invited and given the opportunity to educate the woman on the dangers of alcohol and drug abuse. The event drew over a thousand ladies to St Paul's.

The second CEM event took place on the 10th August in Sebokeng, in the West Rand where the team visited St Timothy Methodist Church. The day itself was already filled with celebrations being that it was Woman's Day and the inclusion of Five Roses was a fitting combination. This event surpassed the previous one with over 1200 ladies attending. At the end of the day a hamper was presented to the accommodating hosts.

Woman's Day is now behind us but for the ladies of St Paul's Faith Mission and St Timothy's Methodist Church the memories will live for years to come. Everyone at the event was grateful to be part of such a meaningful occasion. This is evident in comments made by the community:

"The promotion really helped us achieve the objectives of the Women's Day celebrations." Jeff. S. Molise, St Paul's chairperson. "On behalf of the Reverend and the congregation of St Timothy's Methodist Church we would like to thank you for your contributions to our woman's celebration function." T. Mathunba.
