Primedia Face 2 Face Spreads A Little Christmas Cheer

It is everyone’s favourite time of year - Christmas and the New Year are almost upon us! Christmas is the time of year that most children look forward to and the excitement leading up to the day is unmatched.

For thousands of AIDS orphans this time of the year is a constant reminder of what their circumstances are.

Thus, Primedia Face 2 Face has hosted a party for the AIDS orphans of the Carryou Ministry for the last four years and this year was no exception!


Together with sponsors namely Jumping Castles JHB, Contract Forwarding, 94.7 Highveld Stereo, 702 Talk Station, ABSA, Cape Oil - Primedia Face 2 Face hosted a memorable event full of fun-filled activities for 200 boys and girls from the ages of 3 to 13.

The day began with the children arriving at the venue and having their faces painted. The kids played soccer, games or on the jumping castles until the "dance off" was held. This consisted of the children being divided into their respective age and gender groups and so the dance-off began. Winners were selected by the crowd and they were rewarded with a prize.

Once the dance-off was complete, lunch was served to the children. After lunch the children re-convened on the jumping castles and played with the hula hoops and soccer balls provided to them on their arrival at the party venue.

Soon after, the main attraction of the day arrived to the sound of loud cheering.....Santa! Santa read a poem out to the kids and all the children were once again lined up in their respective gender and age groups to receive a hug and their gift from Santa.
