Carryou Orphans Christmas Party 2008 - Face 2 Face

A great deal of excitement was in the air as just over 225 little children arrived at the Randfontein Methodist Church for a day set to be nothing less than pure bliss. Today was the day they had all been waiting for, the Carryou Orphans Christmas party 2008. Each year children look forward to this Primedia Face 2 Face initiative.

15 Primedia Face 2 Face staff members attended the event and assisted in the numerous activities that took place on the day. Children were ecstatic to find out they would be treated to face painting. Each child was given the option to have their face painted - a treat highly regarded amongst the children.

In addition to this, each child received a hot dog, cool drink and a packet of sweets. For the first time the entire day there was total silence as the children sat on the grass enjoying the treats.

Father Christmas proved to be a huge hit arriving shortly after the children had finished eating their food. Each child was given a present according to their age prompting the children to go around in a frenzy showing off the different presents they received.

And then came the real fun - The dance off! Children were divided into their respective gender and age groups, and a few were then selected to go up to the Promobile stage to commence the dance off. After each individual was given time to show off their dance moves, the crowd was asked to cheer for the individual they felt was the best dancer. The winner then received a prize. This was the case for all the different groups with the finale seeing a dance off between the care takers at the orphanage, and the Primedia Face 2 Face staff.
